911 engine number confusion help
I'm new to this forum and Porsche in general. I have a Laser 917 kitcar that was built with a Porsche transmission and a 6 cylinder Porsche engine. I've researched the engine and can;t seem to find exactly what I have. The only info I have currently is the number 911.105 111OR That number is on the cover over the valves. On the engine block below the fan, I found the number 3280491. I hope that one of these is the engine number. I'd sure like to know more about this engine. I was told that it is a 2.0liter engine. Any help is appreciated

That 2nd number is the engine number. 1968 normal engine. Should be a type number (5 digits) near it on the case.

I'll have to keep looking. There is no room to access things or see well. Thanks!

3280491 is the serial for a type 901/14 aluminum case 1968 911 normal engine. Should be about 130 hp. I think this thread will help more:
Third number on engine case The build # will be in the 114xx range I expect; please let us know.
