Thanks. It's a polyurethane coating like they use in airplane hangars and most dealership garages.

Hey guys, a lot of great ideas have been presented here, but I'm wondering about some other options.

What about the yellow or red Hornet style. The 964 parts, bumpers, rockers are black, and the rest is yellow or red?
Does anyone have a pic of this?

I hate to reference the competitor, but for those of you who have Performance Products catalog, they have a bubblegum blue 911 in the glass bumper section that has like a silver overlay of paint that covers most of the front trunk, covers the top of the fenders, and then goes down almost to the front bumper. The rest is blue.

Anyone have any pics of anything kinda wild like that? If you're gonna go wild, you might as well go all the way.

I agree Kurt. Why stay with one color, like a previous post said, that pearl paint can look real nice if done correctly.

How 'bout that wild S-Car-Go Purple and Yellow job?

"Black: great color; MAJOR maintenance. Every spec of dust shows. If I was thinking about black, I'd go with white!" -Kurt

So, Kurt...ever really looked at an early "light ivory" car? It's my favorite P car color...other than Irish Green, of course.
;)

As a Los Angeles resident, you are morally obligated to follow Rarly's advice. A 3-peat p-car.

Your right the reds gotta go it depends on the color of the top and interior. If its black then go with the yellow. But make it a porsche yellow Im partial to both blue and yellow as both my cars are these colors.

Axeman 03-30-2003 01:35 PM

The paint color is 1994/1995 Speed Yellow and the code is 12G.

Good luck...

My color has two names: Zinnmetallic or Pewter metallic. I love it. lots of complexity, hint of violet that shows up at sunset. (Bad picture.)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/Newside222.jpg

BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK

motion 03-30-2003 04:40 PM

Yeah Kurt, I'm starting to think that all 80's 911s should now be black... with Yellowbird or RSR fenders and tails. Black wheels, too. Don't forget your Black Flys.

Tim Walsh 03-30-2003 04:53 PM

mmmmm sepia brown :D

I'd still go for fishcop blue

it would be nicer if the brochure showed the color on the whole car, instead 0f the little rectangular sample.
