Looking to change entire paint color in few months

Come hell or high water. I'm sick of red.
I want something flashy and interesting.

I voted in the poll. Yellow. Although French Racing Blue would be nice too.

This is on a different subject. Can you provide some more info on your mods? I'm interested in:
- Cost of each
- How much hp each added (if you tested after each mod)
- Whether you've had trouble smogging the car with the mod?

I'm still researching what I can do to my '89 3.2 that would be (semi-)affordable and still smoggable. I live in Calif too, so thought I'd learn from your experience.

The coolest 911 I've ever seen was painted Riveira Blue (a 993 tt). Therefore I've voted for bubblegum blue.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but the car looks great red. Won't the change in color reduce the value of the car?
regards,
jlex.

If you want your car to look bad-a$$, paint it black.

My son is doing this; it is a lot of work and expensive if you do it properly: glass out and new seal rubber, engine out, new engine compartment decals, etc. Jim

I recently raved (again) about my car's color. It's not flashy, but rather the opposite. But if you're looking for a really sharp, classy color that is invisible to cops and hides dirt, this is the one.

Nougat pictures?

If you want flashy go for the yellow.

If you want cool go for prussian blue.

Conservative but stylish go for the silver look.

I repainted my car to silver and the cops don't notice it but I still get college girls waving their panties at me (dream).

Red isn't flashy? I vote for a color you don't have listed... the baddest looking color there is..

interesting opinions guys...oh, and stuff it Emcon.

It does look good red, BUT, I'm going to have it painted again anyway because I want the whole thing the exact same, perfect color after I do my rockers.

And I cannot stop thinking about the RUF yellow bird and the 993 twin turbo that was bright yellow I saw around a year ago. That thing literally had me stopped on the side of the road.

The blue was in response to Fishcop's great looking ride and it's always a fave.

On the value of the car: it's already dropped just with these mods. There's no sense in stopping now.

Brown: not bad, but if I went for a natural color, it would be green.

Orange: always an old fav.
Black: great color; MAJOR maintenance. Every spec of dust shows. If I was thinking about black, I'd go with white!

thanks for the opinions, I have time to think about it.

Not a good picture, but this arctic silver cabrio looks very good.

But of course I'm biased. Still arctic silver is easy to maintain and it looks very good. Takes years off the car.

Speedgelb is cool, but there's a risk that you will grow tired of it in the long run. Kind of best suited for Rufs and RS's.

I seem to remember that you were thinking of getting rid of your car. Also, as was mentioned, it will cost a lot to get a good paint job. From other posts I have seen, 5K-10K. If you are not sure you want the car, why put that type of cash into it. You love to race and have the need for speed. Sell the cab. Add the money from the paint job you won't need and get the turbo you really want. I have seen 70's turbos in the low to mid 20's. Unless this is the car of your dreams and plan on keeping for another 10+ years, why put that type of cash into a color change. Besides, my turbo cab is red so I may be a little biased on two fronts.
