The comment about them being too bright got me thinking, are you still able to adjust the light level by rotating the headlight switch with this mod?

That is precisely why I mentioned it. Incandescant bulbs can be 'dimmed', LED globes are simply digital - they are on, or off.
Normally a bright instrument cluster is great around town, but out on the open road with no lights other than your own, a bright instrument cluster will make your eyes feel fatigued, and less sensitive to see road hazards etc. I don't think you NEED to have an adjustment feature, but the level of light has to be within a certain range to be good in both situations (I've got a 70s Jap car as a daily, I installed white LED globes in. It has good light dispersion because I roughly filed the crap out of the end of the globes, and a good brightness level because I retained the tinted condoms which the car came with). |
