Tail Light OUT, All of them 1985 Porsche Euro 911
My Porsche has all the brake lights out. Both left and right and the whale tail. I checked the bulbs, nothing. I dont have a meter to see if it is getting power, but obviously its not. Could it be a fuse somewhere just for the tail lights or is there something else that could control it?
I appreciate ANY help. |

Thanks Gerry, I have a 1985 EURO 911 Convt. Trying to solve the mystery before buying new parts... All my manuals and fuse boxes are in german! haha. Can I switch the fuse with another to test? And if so, what fuse?

Sure you can.
If you can buy a Digital Volt Meter, even if it is a HF one, better to have one than not having one at all. So the car is the "on" position and when you depress the pedal it does not light? Jim

Jim, no, even if the car is on the lights do not work. If I start the car and pull out the lights switch to turn all the lights on, the two rear lights turn on just to the outside of the "Porsche" Red Lens. The next slot over I assume are the brakes? That section of bulbs on the left and right do not work at all. The next section of lights are for the turn signals, and when I click to turn left and right they both work as they should.
This tells me the brakes light issue is not the bulbs or the housings. Something MUST be in the fuses OR another control for just the brakes. |

You got Dr Gerry on it, you will be set.
As Doyle stated, check the fuse and the lines going into the fuse holders to make sure they are connected. Next would be the Brake Light Switches (BLS) Jim
