Idle
Startup idle 1200 after 30 min. 950 to 1100. Startup idle 1000 at startup after 30 min. car dies. 1981 F/I 3.0.

Pull the oil cap....if the idle does not drop, you have intake leaks. That's the first check.

I'll give it try Joe. Got it warm and checked the oil a couple weeks ago. You know the drill. I think I would noticed the idle speed. I have a bad disease not fatal but it's gets worse Old-timers. I'm thinking Cold start valve but I'm checking all leads from Porsche people Thanks! I will post it tomorrow. First time on a forum

if it starts cold, it is not the CSV or circuit.
most people ramble on about nothing before they get to the meat of the problem, i cant say you have that problem. if i understand your problem, the car idles too high for too long, and then it also idles hi after it sits for 30 minutes. this is related to the AAR ( aux air regulator). you need to check for power to the AAR and you might want to remove it and clean it. the vane that closes to lower the idle may be sticking.
