Spacer removal

I want to adjust my E-brake on the rear wheels (77 wide body) however, I have spacers on them.

How do I go about removing the spacers so that I can get to the emergency brakes star adjustment etc?

Was looking for a thread but could not fine one.

Is there any special tools I need for this task?

Thanks

Have you taken the wheel off and looked at the spacer yourself?

if it's stuck to the rotor, tap with a rubber mallet it while rotating the wheel. repeat as necessary, upgrading the rubber mallet as you go.

Rubber is useless, it just bounces and will hit the fender or the face... without transferring much energy to the object you are hitting.
Use a plastic mallet that is filled with steel pellets.

If the spacer is a "bolt on" spacer: After you remove the wheel have someone press the brake pedal to lock the wheel.

A spritz around the edges with PB Blaster or equivalent and a whack with a dead blow hammer.

Maui...you have a PM, I have the Bentley open and can prep you on the adjustment.

Huh?
Did someone recommending throwing the rubber mallet at the spacer? - you're supposed to hold on to it.
(it should just take a couple of light wacks to free it from the rotor)

I've never had a problem with using a rubber mallet. Although a dead blow hammer works just fine too.

Using lead, I agree if you hit it with swinging blows. Deal is delivering impact and lead will do that nicely with a firm tap.

PB (great stuff) and a rubber mallet sound like the way to go.
