Beck Speedster

I am thinking of buying a 2005 Speedster, I really love his 904 replica and 550.
Does anyone know anybody with a Beck Speedster?, i would imagine they are a nice alternative at a fraction of the price.
I know wrong tech forum but there are like 2 people on the 356 forum.

There is a nice looking Beck 550 for sale on craigslist. Look under florida, Space Coast or Orlando. It should show up under both.

The craigslist add is HERE.

Here's a pic from the add...it looks gorgeous. (I'm not affiliated, just think it's cool)

I respectfully disagree, a 2005 Beck Speedster went for $44,000 at auction a couple of months ago.
Probably feels just like or better than an original and you don't have to worry about driving it the way they were meant to.
I spoke to Mr. Beck on the phone a few years ago, nice man and not getting any younger.
I think they will trend upward in price being pulled up by the ever rising prices of the real thing.

Looks like a nice car.

If you buy it, enjoy it.

At best they will hold value if you wish to move it along.

For what an original one costs, these are bargains.

Does it have a Porsche motor in it? or is it a VW?

I said LIKELY....there is an exception to every rule. It's a replica and if you have built. owned, bought or sold any in the last ten years you would agree. I have.....it's my experience and free advice.

The advice is worth what you just paid for it....

I recently saw the one as pictured above at a show in Florida and it is flawless. I didn't know it was for sale.

It is not a speedster, it is a spyder.

44 large will buy you my spyder.

Replica Porsche 550A-6 Spyder- 550 Against The Clock- Kit Car Magazine

My suggestion is that if you are interested in a spyder, you check the spyder replica site http://www.spyderclub.com/

IF you are interested in a speedster (there is also some spyder content) that you peruse THIS site - SpeedsterOwners.com - 356 Speedsters, 550 Spyders, Replicas and more: Forums

There are alot of builders, cars and cars for sale. Never pull the trigger without research...
