I removed my windshield and dash pad today and found this written on thecowl under dash pad passenger side. Was this a common practice on these cars? I would love to be able to find out who LE was.

cool. i found a fingerprint in the original paint on my heat blower in my 72 914 and a german penny in the tunnel in my 82 911

They were signed by the painter that painted your car.
Like all artists they signed their work back then. Further proof that our cars are works of art.

Thanks for the info. The picture is a great addition to the collection of photos of the car. Would be very cool to actually know this persons name.
