I'm soooo sick of the darn things. They're on every freaking 911. Enough. But hey, I'm in a minority. As decals go, it's not bad.

I would not.
I'm not into them, but not because they are not great-looking, they are fabulous!. They were put on very special (emphasis on special) cars by the factory and (at least to me) to have them on anything other than the real stuff, it is sort of lame (even if it looks nice). Kind of putting AMG badges on non-AMG Mercs, or wearing a fake Rolex. For the same reason I do not like clones, copies, re-creations, evocations or tribute cars (unless they are racing-only, race-car tributes/clones). I call all of these re-badged street-rods for what they seem to me "fake RS, fake RSR etc." More than a tribute to a great car, they seem disrespectful and wannabe, not to mention that the real cars are drowned in the seemingly endless flow of re-badged fakes. Any of us could have bought a '73 RS for 50k eight years ago, but we did not, spending 100k on a "T" tub and adding decals and badges will not make it real.
I know my perspective might not be popular and I mean no disrespect for those who like and use these decals and badges, I simply view them differently and I'm not looking to change anybody's opinion. I do not affirm it to be correct, it is just what I think. M. |

The more time I spend on the internet, the more it seems like "everyone" has an RSR, yet I rarely see even the most pedestrian air cooled 911 on the streets around here anymore.
In relative terms, my personal feeling is that there is a big difference between a vw with a Porsche body kit on it trying to sneak into a concourse show, and a 911 sitting in the owner's garage, with a stripe on it to wake it up a bit.

IMHO, if the car were mine I'd install the block style "PORSCHE" stripe. I think it looks best on cars without rocker covers. -J
