A final message from the SCWDP Founder

Ladies and gentlemen,

As of 1600 today, I am now officially on leave. I won't be back until the 25th of July.

I'm taking leave to go to the Roundup and California.

Since I no longer have home internet, this will probably be the last time you hear from me until I see some of you in B.C.
Paul, you can expect a visit from me sometime between the 14th and 16ht of July. As I said, we will continue south, to California. (Stockton/Modesto area to be exact) So if any of you want to hook up, please email me with a phone number and location before the 10th of July.

I want everyone to have a safe 4th of July... please remember safety...

And fire safety...

And drinking under the influence.

And street racing...

And infectious diseases...

And BBQ safety...

You get the point!

This is a great nation we live in. Enjoy your Independance Day!

Hope to see some smiling faces at the Roundup.

"Dominators, I salute you."

Leland Pate

911SC <-- am definately keeping.

930 <-- Was only wanting one for secret R&D.

See you all soon...

Lee, have a safe trip as you and Erin make your way to the Rainforest. Your faithful soldiers await.

Last I heard it was in Modesto, which is about 6-8 hours up Interstate 5 from LA.

Listen here, you Hollywood-types....you guys get all the great events right in your backyard. What more do ya want?

The SCWDP Rainforest Round-Up is a special gathering of friends in a breathtakingly beautiful part of Canada. There is *no* friggin "Round-Up" in California. Modesto? it's a freakin' desert inferno in July! Leland is only passing through there on the way home to visit his girlfriends folks.

BTW.....good ol' Matt Chamblin (maiko) is coming all the way from Red Bluff, CA for the Round-Up. The rest of you CA dudes should do the same.

That's right! I'm gettin my stuff ready for the 2000 mile round-trip journey! I hope the old girl treats me good.

Leland, I'll send you my info in a PM. Just in case. I'm right off I-5, about 3 hours north of Modesto.

Doug? In Surrey, there's a place called Ballroom Billiards. If you & Lee find yourselves looking for some night activity. #100 Langley Bypass, across from Langley Nissan. It's likely Lee will have his new cue along. But warn him about NOT playing for buks...some of the biggest shark fins on the west coast call this place "home"...You have a guy up there, name of Simon Pickering.
I had the pleasure of watching him play in a tourney down here last weekend. Skill level? World class professional! His cue ball control is absolutely amazing..

We intend to show Lee and Erin a good time amongst all their friends. We *don't* want to send them back home stone broke!

"There is *no* friggin "Round-Up" in California. "

That made me laugh out loud.

Vancouver, BC? Oh Jack, they'd welcome all the California dollars they can get....but I doubt they'd enjoy importing the So-Cal lifestyle. It's really a beautiful city and the natives are generally friendly. Have you ever been there? If you make the trip, and if you have the time, you should see Vancouver Island as well...places on the Island's NE shore will make your eyes water, they are so beautiful...It's an easy ferry ride to Vancouver Island from Vancouver, the city, and the Island has some of the better P-car roads I've ever seen! Gads! Look at me! Living in Oregon, and writing like a member of the BC tourism bureau...Doug? Pool Sharks don't mug you...if you say no to a money game, they accept that. Heck, I play for fun. I NEVER play for money. It's just that there are a lot of good shooters who call that place home...to compare skill levels? In that hall, odds are good that you'll be able to watch the billiards equivalent of watching Hurley Haywood drive...I'm a guy who appreciates seeing anything done at a high talent level...and these days, many pool halls are family recreation places...not the smoke filled bars of old at all. I just thought it might be a fun outing for you...
didn't mean to offend.
