Yesterday...

Removed/re-installed headlights...they went back in yellow :)

Did some detail painting on the interior, removed crappy looking frunk carpeting for good, found a new oil leak on #4, realized my triangle of death is probably leaking a bit too (the switch to synthetic was stupid), removed stereo amp, removed seals and targa bar and stripped the paint.

Tried to remove skirt under rear bumper but the Phillips head screws seemed like they were welded in...?

Made a PP shopping list to execute on tonight.

Battery installed, brief walk-around and visual check in the engine compartment. My 911 hadn't been run since November of last year but started up as if I'd run it the day before. No misfires, no exhaust smoke, just the nice, pleasing sound that only a Porsche 911 engine can produce. Let the excess air pressure (65 psi) out of the tires for 29 psi front, 36 rear. Took it out for a 20 minute test drive and all systems working properly. Not even any detectible flat spots on the tires. Great to be back in the saddle again!

Went for a long drive today in the country roads = priceless

I unwrapped mine from her winter cocoon and put the battery charger on her!!!!!

my lovely wife requested an iced coffee so I had to take the 911 on a little run to get it for her. An hour and a half later I returned..........hehehehehehehe:D

After putting the freshly greased and new quick ratio steering rack, I decided that I would reduce the toe to 1/16" based on 27" diameter tires. Hit the Boulder Creek GP course and hill climb for some testing. The Turbo Tie Rod kit and the quick ratio rack is da bomb!

Yesterday I picked up my 911T from the body shop where they cut out two small rust cancers and molded and replaced the sheet metal and painted it all to match. Beautiful job.

Last night I ordered from eBay and Pelican, 3 qts Brad-Penn 20-50, spare alternator belts, fuses, a Porsche crest key fob, 2.7 grill emblem, right side mirror, Rubbertite floor mats, factory stem caps with crest, reproduction tool bag, and 2 battery hold down straps from Germany.

This morning I tried to clean my badly tarnished Porsche tool set with WD-40 and a Scotch-Bright pad. Not very successful. Think I'll try CLR next.

Tomorrow I'll replace the rear hood shocks with new ones.

Picked up the new bespoke leather door cards from Lee Brothers this morning, had them made to replace the old leather ones.

We've decided to delete the stereo (never use it anyway) while the car is at Promotive for this stage of suspension upgrades so I got two new ones made without speaker holes, beautiful work, highly recommend them if in Brisbane Lee Brothers Motor Trimmers .

Installed my H4s.

2 day 514 mile tune up. 200 freeway miles, the rest were windy, hilly, old and traffic free. Started early, combining the trip with two jobs so I don't even have to pay for the fuel.

Auburn WA to Moses Lake via 18 and I-90. Moses Lake to Chelan via Ephrata, Moses Coulee, McNiel Canyon. Chelan to Auburn via Blewett Pass, I-90 and 18.

Grabbed a case of wine and made a list of upgrades along the way.

Daughter needed new shoes.... you know the rest of the story by now.:D

I am absolutely loving my ol' SC right now. It just feels 'right".

Valves adjusted, SSI's installed, 2 in 1 out Dansk sport, oil changed, fired it up for the first time in 4 months. The roads are knee deep in mud so can't drive it yet :(

I had a wheel hub bearing replaced.

Washed it, wife drove it to work 40 miles each way on nice easy roads. The left driver's side seat bolster is wearing and coming apart. I gotta do something about that.

Walked past mine in the garage while I pulled my bike out for a spin.

Days like we had here, there's just not a better vehicle than a motorcycle.

Cleaned my badly rusted Porsche Tool Kit tools with a 50/50 solution of water/CLR and let them soak for about 18 hours. Man does that stuff work! All the rust is gone and it left a professional-looking black patina behind on the tools. Dried and coated them with WD-40. If you do this, suggest you use rubber gloves as the black residue hard to get off one's hands.

Now on to the storage unit to replace the engine lid shock absorbers.
