simple elec. question

Connecting a fuel pump.

How do these parts fit together?

1. Pump electrical post / stud
2. Wire O ring (forgot the technical name)
3. Washer
4. Lock washer
5. Nut

Do the go back as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 1, 3, 2, 4, 5?

In other words does the washer go between 1 & 2 or 2 &4?

The washer goes on top of the ring terminal -- your #2 -- to protect it from being chewed up by the lock washer.

That would be 1,2,3,4,5. The lockwasher is directly under the nut.
