KL is indeed leatherette
the KL stands for Kunstleder(artificial leather)

The seat Material"Uni" taking the german translation means that it is all the one material and not part leather part material

The 30B is for Dunkelblau(dark blue) carpet

Your JMS is actually JM5 and means Blue/Blue heres the link , go to page 287 sames codes on an 84-86
http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/de/D_911_86_KATALOG.pdf

DG I know relates to the Car as a whole but I donīt know what the individual Letters signify. Iīve seen a DP( donīt know what it meant either)

Can you share your source for decoding the interior options, or can anyone else offer a source for this?

Is the KATALOG available in English, PDF or otherwise?

Thanks,
Mike

Twistoff porsche australia told me the car was delivered with blue leatherette and blue cloth centres with the porsche script printed through it. This was confirmed by the second owner who changed the inserts to perforated vinyl to match so the uni is a bit confusing. My understading is thats what dg meant but i have never been able to confirm it with a source.

Unless porsche australia were wrong he provided that info from a source in germany he had to go to them because he didnt know what dg meant.

Ps my interior including door trims, rear side trim, rear parcel shelf and headliner are all dark blue and i am confident its all factory original. The seats are alittle of a mystery they are the standard dark blue seats with perforated centres. I thought the factory centres when perforated were only leather but these look too good to be aftermarket. The dash upper and lower is also dark blue. I will post a picture tommorrow. Thanks for you input it has been very helpful.

Hi Mike,

I have several different lists and sites I use. The original PDF from Porsche PET catalogues are excellent. In this case thats where I got the data.

Here the link for anyone interested in an english version. Just enter model and year
