Factory Delivered Carrera Scripts & Stone Gaurds
Hi can anyone tell me on the 3.2 Carrera Cars from 84 to 89 wether or not the carrera script and or stone gaurd stickers were delivered on the cars.
Or were these options fitted at the time of delivery or after by owners. Whats the history of the Carrera Script. |

I believe that the history of the Carrera side script dates to the 73-74 Carrera RS. The car is famous for sporting that side script and as far as I know came stock like that.
I know many people fit the stone guards on after market these days, as they are not that expensive. They may have been a factory option I am not sure. Porsche was famous for doing what you asked at the factory so the side script may have been some thing that you could have ordered but some thing tells me it was not a regular option although I may very well be wrong. Regards Dave

My 87 Targa has Carerra script on the rear decklid under the tail like every one I've seen. Factory installed. Not sure about the fender guards. Don't have them on my 911.

Script came from the factory on some, could be ordered but most were put on by owners. Stone guards are used for the most part on wide body models. Guards AND script aren't common as they look like crap......
