Interesting Key Fab
I know this is not completely 911 related but its not off topic either so i figured I would post it here. I was browsing at an antique shop today and something interesting caught my eye. It is what appears to be a brass key fob, it is old looking and I have no history on it but it was cheap so I bought it. Like almost every one here I have the leather key fob that I always assumed was standard for older Porsche's. I thought maybe this brass one was from the 356 or early 911 era. I have attached a photo below with my leather one for size reference, if any one has any info on it feel free to share.

i saw one on ebay a while back similar to that stamped into a brass plate but it was on a retangular plate. It must have been aftermarket because it went cheap. Its always cool finding porsche stuff even if it doesnt turn out to be worth much. I found a porsche shirt at the thrift store last year. love it

Seriously doubt that anyone with a 356 would use this type of key fob since it would swing back and forth and chip the paint on the metal dash. It's more of a key chain than a fob....a fob would be leather and hold the other keys on the ring.
