Autographed side panels

I recently bought a 1986 Carrera that had a rear seat delete. The last owner gave me the rear panels and showed me something interesting. Both rear side panels had what appear to be signatures in German of names that may or may not be of the guys who either did the original interior or built the car. They have never been off before that I know of. Has anyone seen or heard about this? Maybe a joke from some previous owner (I`m the 4th) but they look authentic. Curious about this.

When restoring my 86, I also found signatures. I doubt someone would take the car apart just to put graffiti on it. Those signatures are people that put your car together.

Congrats on your purchase.

That`s pretty cool, I had an `88 cabriolet but I don`t recall seeing signatures and I did have those panels off.

Every car is unique. Meaning every car was hand built. Some Porsches (84-89) have Mercedes-Benz parts, like mine!

seems like a final prank by an applicant for an apprenticeship in the upholstery shop. It reads (transliterated):

The End - That's it (Aus, Schluss und Vorbei), Brigitte Nagel (her name), Auszubildende - trainee for an apprenticeship.

Personally, I think that's cool. People should always be willing to sign their name to their work and show pride in what they produce.

Thanks for the translation, the other side has them also and scribbled another little stick figure. What ever that means I guess we`ll never quite know but fun anyway.

I removed the knee pads on my 86 to dye them black or perhaps recover them and found this on the back.
