Hi All
Thought it was about time to contribute some content rather than just utilizing it! Have had this car for a number of years and during that period undertook a number of upgrades, rebuilt the engine, interior, brakes, wheels etc Finally decided to go for broke and do a 74 RS/IROC tribute. Details: 82 Shell RHD engine: 82 case and crank etc ported and flowed heads(will post results during engine assembly 98mm 10:5 P & C's GE60 or GE 100 cams want input on this racing valve springs titanium retainers 46mm PMO 1 5/8 exhaust pauter rods ARP hardware twin plug dizzy MSD's etc: ]Gearbox: 82 alloy case wavetrac LSD short ratio gear set Body: soda blasted epoxy undercoat grand prix white ( yeah, I know, boring) wide body glass bumpers, guards, engine lid lightened doors lexen side and rear windows sunroof delete multipoint roll cage Suspension: Coil overs Tarret sway bars mono ball pivots etc Brembo GTP brake kit 17 zuff wheels 9 and 11 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That roll cage won't pass tech for most sanctioning bodies. The main hoop (B pillar) needs a single piece diagonal from the corner above the driver's head to the to the corner on the floor behind the passenger seat. Even if you don't intend to race the car on the track yourself, you should build the cage so it is possible to do so in the future. Plus, the cage would be safer with the diagonal.

if you are going coil over you should reinforce between rear shock absorber pickup points at rear.

Hi Guys
Resurrecting this thread! With life and priorities changing, Adam passed the batton to me circa 6 months ago. I have chosen to go the IROC path. It still needs some general finishing and fetling but it's looking close to how like it.
