Anyone heard from Camgrinder John Dougherty?

Has anyone heard from John lately? I've been trying to get a hold of him this week without any luck. Does phone or email work best for him?

I'm still out a set of cams sent to him in July. Not answering phone calls or emails. I don't know what to think about this, done buisiness many times before no problems.

Does he have your cams, if not send them to elgin as he learned the trade for him.

We are experiencing the same issue from this side of the pond.
DC 40 paid in full including shipping back early December, we finally received a tracking number late January but he never sent the cams despite many emails and a phone call.

I have spoken with him twice in the past 2 months. He answered his phone first time I called both times. I was ready to send him my cams next week, guess, maybe I will hold off ,until I see what is going on.

He did 3 sets of cams for me w/o issues, albeit a few years ago. My last cams were SC grind Turbo cams. Love them. There must be a Pelicanite near him to snoop around to see wazzup.

So, the larger question right now is, if the good Doc has stumbled upon some tough times, who do I send my cams to? Is elgin still in the game? I guess web would be my best bet. Shame, I was looking forward to using John, seemed like a good guy, did he not used to be fairly active here on the forums?
I am not going to judge the guy either, running a small biz can be tough. I know there are times that I would like to take a time out.

I sent some e cams to elgin who made them into solex and I had them back in two weeks. I also sent some saab cams to him, same turn around time. Call him and find out the turn around.

I'll say this, you probably can't beat his pricing.

Not sure the V8 cam companies could match his pricing.

But, turn around times are a price in themselves.....

Lots going on for me lately. I am very good at making camshafts, not so good at running the front office. I had my wife helping out, and now she went out and got a real job. So I am now back to being a one man show.
I will turn off the answering machine off for the next few days during business hours. This way it will ring more than twice and I will pick up.
