Engine bay decal question.

I have searched (well not too hard) but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what the faded decal on the far left is for?

My '84 doesn't have one there. Might be special to 930's, or to different years.

My very original '86 930 does not have one there, either. In your picture, that decal has a different look (not gold) from the others.

Could have been installed in your car by a service place?

Its tire pressure on my 69. Looking at the Stoddard catalog picture they do not show one for later models.

Can the decals on the clamshell on the steering column be obtained? The ones for lights and wipers.

Go into the Porsche website and find the PET for your MY, Within the 1st few pages you will see the P/N and description for each sticker. There s none listed for the 5th from the right. Is your car a ROW model? If so could be an import compliance decal or something put on in another country. Your car is not the 1st I've seen this on, RUF also used that area for their cars.

My model is a US model 911 (N). 1968 Looked at the PET and not sure that it is there? Is that an 'ignition point' decal (wipers/washers)? Not on the Stoddard catelog either.

Mine is an 87 US delivery so no ROW compliance stickers required. Unfortunately, it's not a RUF either.

I have tried PET for the Turbo but they only have the early cars. I did try PET for standard 911 and 930 and no joy..

Agreed, the only 930's that have their own Katalog are the 3.0L. From 78-89 the parts are inter-mixed with the 911. All the stickers you probably should have are in the 911_USA_87_89_KATALOG under Illustration 001-05 Pages 1&2. You'll see there are differences listed for your '87 for the Firing Order and Tyre Pressure stickers.
The reason I said, "probably should have" is I know the '79 930 Oil Check and Tyre Pressure stickers listed in the PET are not the one's that most, if not all, of that MY were originally delivered with.
Is there any way you can take a picture or describe some of the wording on it?

I took a 2nd close look at the decal.

It is unlike the others in that it is only a thin foil decal (with no trace of the original printing remaining). The others are gold metal "plates" and are much more substantial. More OEMish if that makes sense.

Looks like the same material as the tire pressure sticker in one of the photos above. I am going to assume that it is the tire pressure sticker just placed in position 5 instead of position 6.

Someone on this board had dabbled with printing their own gold foil decals. I may have to run a search to dredge that old thread up.

edit to insert the thread .... Is there no interest in hard to get replacement decals?

Anyone have a picture of a paint code decal in good condition?
