If you have warm-start problem, try this

After much hand-wringing -- since I bought it a year ago -- over the fact that my car would start great cold or when it was really hot (i.e, within about five minutes after shutting it off), but take 2-3 minutes of grinding the starter to get it going otherwise, I ordered a new fuel accumulator from Pelican Parts (US$60 or so). Using Wayne's 101 Projects book (superb effort, by the way!), I -- the most mechanically challenged member of this board without a doubt -- installed it and a new fuel filter. Couple of banged knuckles, but nothing serious.

IT WORKED!

What puzzles me is why neither the local import garage (I live in a small town) or one of the top Porsche dealers in Canada didn't try this when I took it to them... Maybe they should get Wayne's book, too?
