Porsche script on an SC?

My guards red SC is getting a full re-spray. I really like the Porsche script & stripes on numerous cars I've seen, but haven't seen it on a red SC.
To work, it would likely need the standard rubber side-strip left off, which would probably meen the sill panels left off too. Hmm.....
Does anyone have a pic of a red SC with script?

I believe the script isn't commonly put on SCs, but I could be wrong.

Regardless, I've always felt that it is your car, so you should do what you think makes it best for you.
If you have a good clean side shot of the car, someone may be able to do a quick photoshop for you so you can see what it would look like.

Thanks for contributing O, but it's looking like nobody thinks/thought it was a good idea & haven't done it.

The rubber strip covering the sill cover's the issue. If the side was smooth paint, I'd go for it.

What color are your wheels?

I've always felt that the script works best in concert with the wheels.

On my black car with RSR style wheel finish, I can go with silver for instance.
On this red car (not mine), with RSR style wheel finish, black picks up the other color on the wheels.

If you had gold wheels on a red car, I'd go with a gold stripe.

A secondary consideration is colors that compliment the body. Black on red, white on red, gold on red, yellow on black etc. (but someone probably figured that out the wheel color was selected).

I just did this 2 days ago. I chose the Porsche 3-line script since most I see are Carrera scripts and I wanted to try a different rendition.





IMHO, the black script blended well with the rockers and satin black Fuchs. As they say different strokes for different folks.

JQ, that looks really great. I think a good script lends more flow to the visual lines of the car.

Hi, I don't know if its psychological but with the script it looked sportier/wider as what you've mentioned "lends more flow to the visual lines of the car". I said to myself, I would think most would not like it but I want it a little bit different.

Wayner.....good point, my car is same as JQ's. I haven't seen it yet (it's 350 miles from me), but the wheels are at least presentable apparently.

I ordered mine at No Bad Days Graphics c/o Joe Bob and he wanted to know my specs. I just told him that I wanted the script to fit within the doors and was told that the fonts might be a little smaller than the usual. Hope this helps!

plus if you don't like them after a while take them off and no harm no foul ...

or you can order another color and you have a whole new look .....

See that one's different....it's a 'known' that that looks great......no SC sill cover rubber strip.

But JQ's shown that it works with it.

I did this on my old Carrera a few years ago. I too wanted something different than the Carrea script. I tried removing the rocker trim molding before I added the decal because I thought it might look too busy. But, the paint under the rocker trim looked like hell, so i put it back on. My car was a dark red and I wanted subtle, so I went with black script. I loved the look - go for it.
