Can I Use a '71 Turn Signal Switch in a '70?

In my, what seems like a never ending journey to get my high beams working I have found a fellow pelicanhead who has a good used turn signal switch from a '71.

My question is: can I use a '71 switch in a '70?

What is the difference between the two as they do have different part numbers?

1970 part no: 911-613-301-30
1971 part no: 911-613-301-04

I just replaced the one in my '70T part # 911 613 301 30 (SWF Auto-Electric). The box says that it will fit a 70-73. And it did take care of my high beam problem as well. Hope this helps. Good luck.
