Any Idea why my clutch keeps going out of adjustment??

73.5 911T with 78 SC motor. It was grinding real bad into first and reverse. I adjusted the clutch and it was like a dream!! now a week latter and it is doing the same thing? Is the clutch tube damaged (rust) or something? Car has no rust otherwise.

CLutch is a few years old but low miles. Looks like cable was replaced at the same time.

Thanks

Here are the possible culprets:

Cable is stretching due to fraying;

Cable end is coming loose (rare);

Hole in Clutch arm in pedal cluster where clutch cable attaches is wearing through;

Pin that goes through clutch pedal and into Clutch arm is giving way and will eventually break leaving pedal on the floor;

Pin securing clutch shaft to fork in bell housing going bad (big trouble, .50 part but engine comes out);

Pedal bushings are going bad;

Clutch arm getting chewed up because bushings are bad.

There may be others, but that is all that I can think of.

Good luck.
