Just picked a quart, cashier said sale ends at eom $3.99
 Yeah was out and about and running a little low so I decided to top off while I was out :-O

Only one of the dozen-plus stores around me have it in stock. Placed online order for in-store pick-up. 2 cases, saved 48 bucks. Took fer-freakin-ever to navigate the AZ site and find a store with VR1 20-50 non-synthetic in stock.

Just bought 12 quarts of VR-1 at our local AZ (they had about double that in stock). Normal retail - $5.99/qt. Savings/discount = $24.00! My little SC will get a fresh drink this weekend.

I think add to cart applies the 3.99 price. I thought the same thing when I ordered it an hour ago.

Well....you have missed the Kragen/O"Reilly sale....they as well as AZ offer the sale price every year about this time. I usually pick up two cases.
AZ and K/O'R tend to offer the item at the same time. This year they look to have changed their timing. They HAVE in the past honored each other sale prices. So I would think you could get the price at both stores. K/O'R had a little hiccup on the ad as if specifically did NOT mention VR-1. I made a call, and an email.....the at first response, nope on sale.....then there were stories of customers getting the sale price on the East Coast. One posted a receipt....I took it into a local store and they matched it....matter of fact, I got an additional .20 per quart price reduction. $3.79 versus $3.99.

Score! All but one of my local (20-mile radius) AZs was out of stock. I paid online for 24 qts. and picked it up at the one store that had it in stock. Didn't wait for the confirmation e-mail (for the online purchase/store pick-up) and when I went in it was already set aside.

Just cleared out a store's last 11 quarts for...$2 each.
One employee had put into the computer's database "$2 off per quart", while someone ELSE must have put "$2 per quart". So, they came up as $2 minus $2 discount, or FREE. They didn't give me the oil for free  They did give it to me for $2 even after I insisted that it is more Then they apologized profusely for the pricing error I do not have a receipt because they actually scanned some random $2 item in instead, they couldn't find a way to scan the oil without applying the discount.
