When is a Beru not a Beru?

So I set about to replace the wire on my recently acquired '73. The plan was to re-use the Berus and install some new 8 mm wires.

I started ohming out the Berus to make sure they're good. I was getting 1k ohm on all but one that is bad and tested open. Berus should be 3k ohm. Hmmmm.

Then I notice that they are a little shorter than other Berus I have maybe 1 inch shorter. Then I notice that one was missing the rubber boot around the base.

Covered up by the boot are the words "Prima" "Auto-Line" "1K".

So they are designed to read 1k ohm. The rubber boots all say "Beru".

What have got here?

As I say the boots say "Beru", but it is possible some PO slid those boots on. I suspect Prima is the manufacturer, sounds Italian.

Sounds more like the PO found some Brazilian aftermarket connectors at a VW specialty supplier ... and put the Beru boots on them! VW Type 1, 2, 3, & 4 connectors are typically 1K Ohm connectors!

Do the 'Prima's' have a right-ange connection to the wire ... or are they straight?

The wires thread into the Primas straight, but they have a 90 degree boot that makes them bend to look like the authentic Beru.
