Checking Genuine Porsche Parts Inventory or availability?
Does anyone know if there is a reliable way to determine if a part is, or isn't, actually available via factory channels?
I'm looking at a couple parts, one left, one right..... of course if they aren't both available it wouldn't make sense to order them at all. Is the PP parts system a reliable check? Both parts come up with a price in the PP system, unlike some that will come up as NLA. Thanks! |

PP is a good barometer from what I can see. If you find a Porsche part and it says NLA cut and paste the Porsche part number into Google and see what comes up.
You can back into the answer usually. There may be a big honkin' database somewhere but I am unaware of this.

Sunset always tells me where the part is/how long it will take to get.

Go Here. All old parts now available from factory. You will not like the prices though.

If Pelican says it's available, then it's available. If Pelican says it's NLA, you can contact a dealer with a part number and they usually can special order it for you....but it comes at a price.

Download the appropriate catalog for your car from here
Porsche Original Parts Catalogue - Parts and Diagnostic Information - Porsche Service - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Then call your nearest Porsche dealer, ask for the parts department, and tell the nice man or woman the part # of what you're interested in. They will tell you price and availability.
