Just joined the targa club, and my lucky 17 yr old little bro

Just joined the Targa club.

My 17 yr old brother really wanted this car, so I decided that I would pitch in and split the cost with him because he couldn't afford it. I will insure it and register it, and he can drive it out on dates and stuff. Lucky kid. When I was his age I was lucky if I got to drive this 90's red Ford Aerostar van with mismatching doors that my dad got at a police auction.

My brother with a big silly grin on his face as I teach him to drive it:

ROW means Rest Of the World ... euro version with 231HP and higher compression engine !
More desirable if you can find good ones ...

Cheers !

I'm lucky to have found this one. It was through a local PCA member. It was imported to Canada from Germany in the 90's I believe. I got all the paperwork going back to Germany circa 1974 when first purchased. Too bad I can't read German.

You're a great brother! Now get us some better pictures. You and he will have a ball maintaining and bonding over the car. The Targa has just enough room for camping trips too!

Get him some high performance driving lessons! Have him learn how to drive the 911 fast so it doesn't surprise him when he starts exploring its capabilities.

Tell him not to speed-shift the 915 (transmission) either. It's not a drag-racer, it's a fine road car.

Nice Ride, Where in Manitoba are you? I spent a few months up there doing "Ice Road Truckers" work with the trucking companies up there. Bought my Shepard from Karen Shields in Manitoba. Any way nice ride, looking forward to posting my car as soon as it's finished.
Cheers

Nice brother, nice ride, just don't use any of that Domo gas in it!

DrkJstc,
LOL, I spent 34 yrs in Winterpeg, can't say as I miss the weather... I've driven a lot of those ice roads and my Shepard is from Wpg too!
(Had to bring something back last time I was there to visit family...)

I'm actually between Calgary and SW Manitoba for work. The targa is staying in Calgary and my '69 in Manitoba. I honestly hate Manitoba.

What is kind of cool about the targa is that it is a 4 speed. Ever heard of a 915 4 speed? Is it a European thing?

yes the 4 speed was standard in '74, 5 speed was an option
