n00b question - unknown relay

Hey guys,

Was installing my new Rennline pedals on Saturday, and while under there, noticed a relay directly below the steering column, and it is riveted.

I know there was an alarm system In the car at one point that was ripped out, but I'm not sure if this relay was a part of that system, or if its for something else.

Sorry, no pictures... Just trying to figure out if I can rip it out, or if I should leave it. It's not connected to anything...

Thanks,

if it's not connected to anything then it cannot be doing anything.

The question is more along the lines of whether it was installed by the factory, and something isn't working as it should, or is it an aftermarket addition? I'll try to get a picture.

Those are common with fog lights and accessories. Maybe that.

Aftermarket; probably alarm-related. Take it out...

Thanks for the replies folks.

If the master himself says to take it out, that's what will be done.
