Help need with steering question

Hi Gang,

I was on the way to work today in my 1989 911 and noticed that my steering is loose. When I grab the wheel I can move it up and down and left to right, lots of play in the wheel. It feels like there is a bearing in there or some sort of bushing that is broken or worn out or something.

Any hlep or insight into what might be going on would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Brandon

Brandon,
The steering shaft bushing is most likely worn out. It's less that $15 for the part and about 20 easy minutes to R&R. There's a tech article on Pelican.
