Access to back of dash
I will have to get access to the intermittent windshield wiper switch. What is the easiest way to get back there? I need to back out the switch and perhaps if it doesn't have the spacer back there I will need to add one, unless I can get by without one, what do you think? The reason I need to back it out is because the previous owner or two apparently screwed the switch in too far and therefore the threads are sticking out on the dash and the intermittent wiper knob doesn't fit snugly against the dash board.

its just held in with a rubber ring. Just pry it out using your fingers. Pull and twist. Its not screwed in or held in by mech means.

Well it is on pre 73 cars. I can't see if your car is listed on mobile view. What year is your car.
