While driving my 1987 carrera, both turning signals stopped working. 10 minutes prior, they were both working but one did not return...(an old problem)
All other components are working...lights, reverse lights hig&low beam and brake lights. I checked fuses and they are just fine What could have caused this sudden problem? please advise |

Relays.
If it's the relay.
Here you go........Under the dash in the boot.

Thanks for the picture, however, I removed the gas dial on the left hand side of the board and i can see 3 relays in a tray BUT I can not see the turning signal relay...
what is the best way to reach it? |

I had a frustrating intermittent turn signal problem. Tried fuse, bulbs, and relay. Turned out to be a growing crack in the fuse block. The turn signal fuses were at the end and loosened up as the crack spread. we fixed it with zip ties around the block.

Yes, pic. is taken looking into left rear corner of of trunk.
Pull back the carpet at the corner of trunk/cowl area by the brake booster. Grab a flash light and you should see the relays. You will also see the backside of the fuel gauge. You were close when you pulled that out. Cooper Last edited by Cooper911SC; 05-15-2013 at 06:08 AM.. |
