Is is possible to repair this Carrera 3.0 engine case??

I need help,

About 4 months ago I over revved my car on the track and popped a rod through the case. I haven't completed the tear down yet, but see the photo below.

Is it possible to rebuild this case and who would be the best company to talk to??

Thanks in advance..........

it could be welded (by a profesional) then machined (by a proffesional) probably not under the same roof. I have welded worse. its not cheap but could save a numbers matching car if you wanted that? also is the 3.0 case carrera aluminum? I know the sc 3.0 cases all were but forgot if the carrera ones were. either way it could be welded.

I wouldn't even try to fix it. Throw an SC engine in there

The bottom line...anything CAN be repaired...but when the cost factor is applied...do you need to?
I can see repairing an original Duesenberg door handle on a 5 million dollar car....but a case...that could be replaced....debatable.

Yessir, absolutely!!!

JMHO, but its time to find a replacement 3.0 Carrera/Turbo case or change over to an SC one.

When the #2 (or #5) fails, its usually a lubrication failure so you need to do all the oiling modifications to prevent an "encore" performance.
