Question Fuel Line Leak, Need Part Number

Noticed that the RSR was leaking fuel when running... need help to identify the part number so that I can order a new one.

Is the line that comes out of the fuel filter on the top side... part rubber part hard line.

Looks like an aftermarket line was installed. Running carbs? If carbs and low pressure, any hose shop can replace it for you.
If CIS then BoxsterGT is the one to contact.

look on the host site link to porsche part diagrams which will give you part no. and name. it may be NLA (about half the fuel lines are) but pelican web store will tell you that. someone replaced rubber with braided line on yours.

Looks like they repaired the original item with braided lines... and yes CIS still in place.

That is the problem... I can't see it listed, not even listed with NLA... I also looked at PET to see if I could find it in there.. no such luck.

And yes... all lines were replaced with braided. I just want to find the part number so that I can replace the line with a new one.

I went back to PET to look again... I might have narrowed it down. So it has to be 930 110 301 05 or 930 110 304 03

The main Feed line (or hose in this case) comes from the Filter & runs forward of the motor over to the Fuel Distributor.

The original was a Polyamid line with a rubber sheath that is no longer made. I can send you the correct size Poly line that does not have a rubber sheath.

Part of the problem with the hose you have now is the barbs on the original fittings are designed for Polyamid lines; not rubber hose whether braided SS or not. I will try to get some comparison photos posted showing the differences.

Another issue with SS braided hose is that you cannot see the rubber within. OK for race cars where a thorough inspection of every nut & bolt & hose is done before every race. Not for long term passenger car use where these things seldom get inspected until theres a failure.

I let Len (re) do all of my hoses in the past,..all have been perfect.

So? Do I send you the old ones and you rebuilt them?

After this, I want to renew the ones in the '81 as well since that engine is out...

FYI, here are the differences between

a hose nipple..................

and a Polyamid tube nipple.........

The barbs on the Poly tube nipple are one way. Once inserted properly, this fitting cannot twist or be removed easily from the tube. Cutting the tube to remove it will damage the barbs. Melting the plastic tube is the only way to save the fitting for future use.
