Is this dumb?

One of my employees thinks that this graphic is the dumbest, most annoying thing he's ever seen (and has so informed me of his opinion more than once):

What is your opinion?

It made me smile. I don't know if that means it's dumb or not but it can't be too bad. I didn't say WTF?

I think you need to remind your emplyee of who signs his or her check.http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/paddel.gif

Looks like that Pelican is laughing all the way to the bank! What's its name anyway?:D ;)

widebody911 07-24-2002 01:36 PM

the thumbs-up bit is kinda gay, but the pelican in the 356 is cool.

jurhip 07-24-2002 01:46 PM

Due to that graphic I will never look at the photo gallery.

Yeah it looks fine though

Don Plumley 07-24-2002 01:51 PM

It's not annoying to me. To be more on topic, however, shouldn't the Pelican be taking a picture of his car?

Mark Wilson 07-24-2002 01:52 PM

and I am unanimous in that

layzee 07-24-2002 02:21 PM

I think the 356 could be a bit more red. Apart from that http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/clap.gif

RazorRacer 07-24-2002 02:27 PM

Opinions are like *********s; everyone has one.

I agree the 356 should be guards red.

Also, wayne, you never answered me on the significance of the wizard for Drivewerks.

Finally, $30K profit on your book??? That's a little sum for the effort you must have invested.

k9handler 07-24-2002 02:45 PM

I am with RazorRacer, well almost...Ford Mustangs are like *********s, everyone has one!

Graphic looks fine...you da boss!

Wayne 962 07-24-2002 02:46 PM

That's $30K total over about 10 years don't forget...

The Wizard is part of our floor mat wizard, or our car cover wizard, etc...

Wayne, of course I respect your company, but the cartoonish graphics take away from what your trying to achieve. Well crafted German cars and cartoon animals? For some situations it will work, (and does work here), but you asked for an honest opinion. To someone totally unfamiliar with your company, it may pose a question or two. Oh well.

RazorRacer 07-24-2002 02:57 PM

89911 lighten up!

Pelican Parts isn't Porsche. It sells parts for Porsche.

Also, the Texans are going to make it a long time for Pitts.

88911coupe 07-24-2002 02:58 PM

I have to agree with 89911 in that I don't really go for cartoonish graphics and Porsches. I tend to like simple straightforward looks like the Porsche logo. With that said, the red needs to be "redder". The Porsche Store here in Dallas uses a really cool logo but I can't really describe it very well. Not sure if it's their or something from PCNA.

'Sokay by me.

My wife would say "Awww!!! How cute!!!" (her typical response for anything that she doesn't dislike. This includes the 911.)

Zeke 07-24-2002 03:11 PM

Loose the hat. And put a big stinger on the 356. You do sell performance products don't you?

juan ruiz 07-24-2002 03:19 PM

Wayne,I agree with 89911,many times I ask myself why a Pelican on Porsche ? But you are the boss after all.

GIBSON 07-24-2002 03:27 PM

Wayne, try a color change for the 356, maybe red. I think you'll find a better response. The color of the car is the problem. Try any color other than that and see what happens.

surflvr911sc 07-24-2002 03:28 PM

The name of the company is "Pelican" Parts. I would think there should be logos that are synonymous with both. A Pelican in a Porsche, cartoon or not, fits.
