Missing Paint Code Tag

What are my options for finding out the original color of my 71T?

Look under the hood or under the dash or look under the engine lid.Or get a certificate of authenticity

Says 1970's 3 digit number was on the left hand door pillar. 71 was a 4 digit number but location is not clear.

If the tag is missing, then the best way to find the original code is to phone PCNA with the VIN and ask for the code. I am not sure what kind of code they will give you, but I expect it should be the correct 4 digit code (actually two digits twice). The chart above will help name the color.

Thanks, I didn't realize I could get PCNA to tell me on the phone.
