911sc case split?

trying to split cases 79sc, heres the problem pistons #2/#5 are still below the case spigot,long story short motor locked up tight!! i have all case bolts/nusts removed, the crank will not spin at all, need to get the pisons off before case split any ideas would be great!!!!!! cant get those c clips?

Man, never thought of that. That's a tough thing to do. I'd post in the engine rebuilding section, one or more of the shop owners have probably dealt with this and have a good solution.

You probably jammed a piston (or two) up against the case. Try rotate the opposite direction. I never remove case nuts until pistons are out.

Was the engine locked up before you started the dis-assembly?

why remove case bolts before pistons?

what about the timing chains. they jammed up in there?

If chains are off and everything else is done I don't see why you can't turn the crank the other way and "un-stuck" the piston. Which is probably really the rod anyway. Pop it with a rubber mallet and some common sense if you have to.

Unless why were you splitting it to begin with has something to do with this.
