Idiot Warning Light

The battery idiot warning light on my 85' Porsche 911 lights up and stays on with intermittent start ups. The battery and alternator are both new and the system is charging properly. Loose bulb, fuse, wiring issue?? What are some cures for this problem.

It's highly likely it's the blue wire or ground. Check the voltage at battery while running, if its 12 volts steady then this means altenator is not charging the system. Unfortunately if this is the case you gotta open it up again.

Oops, read your post, says its charging properly ... Well then, is it over charging?

Check the voltage regulator function too... I took my VR and alternator to a shop where they tested it all in conjunction with each other.... ended up having the alternator rebuilt...
