Question: Hard Brake Lines for A-Caliper from M-Caliper
I'm switching to the early A-Caliper from M-Calipers and I noticed that the hard brake line port is in a different spot (bottom of caliper vs. middle). Can I re-bend my existing brake lines to fit or should I buy new.
I would like to buy new lines so that the bends are perfect and original but I cannot find this in the Pelican catalog or the PET. Does anyone know the part number for this? By the way, in case anyone is interested.... A-Calipers weigh 10lbs 9.6oz vs. M-Calipers weigh 8lbs 7.6oz. A-Caliper 10lbs 9.6oz ![]() M-Caliper 8lbs 7.6oz ![]() |

I just went to early-S calipers so was able to bend my old line easy with a brake line bender. Go slow and it works fine. Or buy new metric lines at FLAPS and bend to suit then flare the one end. Flaring is a bit of lost art but after your first it's easy.
Loaded S caliper is about 6-6.5 lbs.
