Geez wwest. It would be nice if you had just a little integrity
Sorry, but since Kuehl doesn't publish prices I looked for his stuff at Pelican.

Yeah, what he said.

He has claimed FOREVER that Griff gives misleading data, then never actually provides anything to back up the assertion. Data, reasoning - nothing. In fact, as far as throwing out completely made-up stuff, Griff couldn't hold a candle to wwest's prevarication in these threads when it comes to numbers, equipment operation, and experimental design.

So, asking him to simplify DOES NOT suit his goal of jihad against Charlie. Obfuscation is the name of the game here. Watch him change the subject, or nitpick at your thought experiment, in order to get you focused on the inconsequential details. The larger questions go completely unanswered while you and he scrape around in the weeds picking at nits.

Whatever...

R-134a vs water.

176/2440 = 0.072131...

11% improvement using water as a test medium = 11% X 0.072 = 0.793441%

~0.8% improvement when adjusted for R-134a.

Pretty meager for a $630.00 purchase.

Please explain how the ratio of latent heats of 2 different materials at 2 different pressures relates to the efficiency of a heat exchanger.

Kuehl might be a better person to ask this question since it was his test..

No, you pulled data from the link that you posted and are stating the ratio of the latent heat of water at 32 Kpa vs. R134a at 660 Kpa demonstrates that the heat exchanger is 0.79% more efficient.

How much are the fender units?

I'm curious somebody on the boards with a Silver Carrera re-built their engine to 3.8 spec and upgraded
his A/C unit with 964 or 993 parts.

I know he sold the car, but can't find the build thread....

In other words, wwest has NO clue... Very typical. No integrity. No honesty. Just making statements that have no meaning.

Gonna take a LOT of heat....

An explanation, but no excuse...so my apologies...

More than 6 months ago I wanted to buy a new R/D and wanted be sure it was compatible with R-134a. Someone referred me to Griffiths and I subsequently attempted to buy a R/D. Every "lead" I followed at that time lead me to a Griffiths page "email for quote" or "call for quote". I did both. The email response was "we're out of the office and will respond later"....no response...

The phone call turned into a marketing spiel....

Even the other day when I wanted to get a TXV price Google led me to the Pellican site and Griffiths was not in the Google "find" list.

Again, no excuse, just an explanation.
