Definitely fuel injection harness... Look to the right of your cruise control, on the back shelf of the compartment. Weird it's running.

Euro model that has travelled the world?
What engine number do you have on the case below the engine serial number on the fan shroud? I'm only asking this because a harness customer of mine found out he had a '78 engine in his '82 just the other day!!! He didn't need any of the lambda wiring. Needless to say he was surprised! The only reason he found out was a picture he sent me showing his remote VR?
Made me ask a number of questions leading to him reading the engine case number. He has all the '82 CIS plumbing but all the wiring was removed. Said it runs well with the later narrow runner CIS on an earlier large port motor.

Ahhh, you got a carburetor under the boot!
Helps keep the AFR's in compliance if you take the car to inspection and they sniff the exhaust |

Late RoW SC.........
Boss,
You don't need that 12-pin connector because your car does not have an ECU being a RoW car. The other unplug connector could be the OXS another extra plug you won't be using. Tony |

Hmmm, 64C series is US delivery according to Simon's site...
Take a look on the flat part of the case between the area where the serial number is on the support and the oil pressure sender, ( about where the shadow from the sender is in your picture) there should be another number stamped like 930/10 or 930/16 or 930/17. Your number should be in the general area where the picture in this thread shows it. |

That looks like US deliver engine, how do I find out what the rest of the car is?
Do I need oxs plug then? What about the other harness then? My registration paperwork says it was 1st registered in Japan in 1989, imported to New Zealand 2008, no history before 89. Maybe it started life as US sc and was changed to row look at a later stage..

If the wiring was removed to go back to euro spec and the car runs well, you don't need it. Pollution control was the main reason it was installed.
It really depends on what has been done. May have been a later engine swap. Check your vin number against the information on Simons site. Maybe the car was imported to Japan from the US instead of Germany. Look under the seats, are there any relays and small control boxes mounted? |

Probably just sitting there....when I converted my US '83 SC to a 930-10 row we pulled the box to go with the 930-16 (trade) as it will need it.
