Concelad V1 Display

I've seen a bunch of other ideas...here's mine. I can never see my V1 as it's up near the mirror so this is more in my line of sight. I plan to put it where the clock currently resides.

Thats a great idea ! I wonder if you could somehow maintain the look of the clock...with the faceplate still in place ?

The remote display is also good in that the main unit mounted in the windshield doesn't light up any longer. The guy (or cop in an unmarked car) driving behind you at night can't see the thing light up with warnings.

So my original plan was to build it into the clock....but that just didn't work. I couldn't fit everything in there and still keep the clock functional.

My next thought was to put it into the clock anyway....make it look the like the clock in a way...but that just wasn't working.

The final configuration is what I have shown above and is built into an oil pressure gage.

In terms of volume, that is still controlled by the main unit, same as for the standard concealed display.

What I need to add is the mute function....so I bought a little mini switch that I am still working on mounting...or at least thinking of where to mount. I'm thinking maybe on the back of the wiper stalk.

Anyway, I still need to finish up the interior wiring but I'm relatively pleased with the outcome

I have a mute microswitch on the back of the turnsignal stalk and it works well. V1 in the rear window, display in the ashtray (soon to be speedo) and remote volume control mounted to the back of the heater control box. Works great for me.
