Few questions about things seen in my engine bay

On my stock 87 3.2

1. Theres a little hole about halfway down the plastic elbow from the blower to engine tin. Looks like it may have been drilled, not molded in place. Is this stock? If not... can't see why it would cause anything catastrophically bad to happen?

2. What would make the underside of the AFM oily? The topside of my engine bay is pretty spotless but there seems to be a film on the throttle position switch and AFM. Could this be from the car being overfilled with oil at some point?

I have the same hole in my '87. I've seen pics where there is actually a little white clip in that hole that keeps the cruise control cable from rubbing against the inlet to the blower. I can't find the clip in the PET, but I wish I knew what it was.

OH boy that explains a lot. I saw that clip floating around unattached. Will re-attach pronto. Thanks.

The hole in the heater tube. There's a holding clip that goes there that holds the cruise control cable.

Just happened to see exactly that on this album: Photo Album - Imgur

Any advice on the AFM oily film?

The clip is in the pic in the bottom left corner. It slid down the cable.
