ROW AC delete
ROW 3.2 RIGHT HAND DRIVE 911
I was a bit eager deleting my a/c. Didn't realise its all interconnected. I was also going to delete the footwell blowers, but they seem to actually work so they stay. So I need to put some stuff back now. ![]() Trying to work out why the footwell blower connects to the big junction piece that used to connect to the condenser behind the footboard. Im thinking of removing the pipe and just blocking it off at the footwell blower. Then what is the deal with the big junction piece in the px foot well. Can this go? What do I miss if this is removed?? (apart from A/C!) Thanks Ed Picture is footwell of passenger side (RHD) 1) Do I need the pipe marked with the arrow, or can I block off at footwell blower: 2) Can I then remove the big junction box thing it connects to now a/c is gone. ![]() Last edited by strikee; 08-06-2013 at 03:31 AM.. |

Ed,
I have an 81 and I believe the 3.2 is a little fancier than the SC with twin foot well blowers. However, I am not sure that the extra blowers handle AC. In this link select 911 and then 1984-1986. It will pull up a pdf file of the parts diagram for your car. Porsche Classic Genuine Parts Catalogue - Classic Genuine Parts & Literature - Porsche Classic - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG If you go to pdf page 431 of 528 in the file it provides exploded views of the heating and cooling system ducting. Scrolling down page by page it shows RHD and LHD parts. I can't say this will help you, but it probably can't hurt.
