Does a MSD fit into Marelli Distributor.

Hopoing to up grade to non points (MSD system) for my ageing Marelli Distributor. Anybody do this, is it worth while?

You have a 69 911T, correct? Folks need to know that.

You can run your Marelli (new rotor, cap, and points are now all available, so its aging isn't a terminal problem) with MSD, keeping your points. Some folks change the points to an optical trigger, and maybe that's what you're thinking, but it's not necessary. I'm quite happy with the Marelli, points, and MSD setup. Pretty simple.

That's right 69T, so how does the MSD set-up work?

Tweedle,

If you search the forum for 'MSD Marelli' you'll have pages of information at your fingertips. Here's one for starters:

MSD6A Marelli 1971 911T for dummies

(and I don't mean anything by that, that's just the thread title). It's not really clear what it is you want to accomplish.
