I've got the metric set and like them. Good hand feel and the little gimmicks they advertise actually do make them nice to use: rest on the nut, usable with a tight range of motion etc. Should have included a mm though in the set.
I also bought there ratchets and really like them. |

I also bought their ratchets and really like them. Amazon and Jamestown stock them. Lee Valley was the same price in Canada given no shipping charges from the US importers. I bought the 1/2 ratchet set from amazon in the US who were much cheaper even with shipping that the special order quote I got from LV. Lee Valley service however is unsurpassed. |

While Wera is a good brand...these looks like gimicks. The teeth section of the wrench is way too small surface area to prevent rounding.
From now on...I am just going to stick with Snap On and their flank drive plus. I've seen teeth marks on bolt/nuts after using the snapons. |

The Gear Wrench brand are lifetime warrantied and tool trucks are now selling them. NAPA had a ridiculous $34.99 sale price on them not too long ago. They were the nice flex head style like these and I snagged a few sets of metric
NAPA Gear Wrench Metric Flex Head Friend who's a long time Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge mechanic uses them and swears by them. He grabbed a set from NAPA too. Nothing lasts forever and he has had no problem getting replacements from the tool guy. Snap Ons ratcheter flex heads are indeed nice he says (he has PLENTY of Snap On stuff) but the Gear Wrench are a good value in his mind. I trust a dude who uses them on a daily basis. He doesn't tolerate crap tools.

Wouldn't a metric link be more appropriate considering the forum? ![]() NAPA AUTO PARTS Metric buyers need equal sale opportunities. At $90+, might have to wait for their next GearWrench sale. Like the topic wrenches shown above, I can see these flex head ratcheting box wrenches helpful in confined, hard-to-access workspaces, e.g. heat exchanger fasteners. Sherwood |

![]() CORRECTION. Mr. Stupid Me found the metric set! Link changed above The flex head is what my mechanic buddy said is the best part of the wrench. He uses them every single day on the job and says they're a huge benefit to getting stuff done. I agree the Wera wrenches seem hokey at first glance. But devil is in the details. >The cover plate is a nice trick to keep the wrench on the bolt head. >The "12-pt" style of open-end is very helpful for getting the wrench positioned in tight spots. >80 tooth ratchet is a very nice feature for tight spaces. Pretty neat little tricks in their wrenches. Just wait. Craftsman will copy them. You can bet on it.
