Exclamation Paint protection from rocks

Just reassembled my car after paint and I know it had issues with road rash on the rocker panels behind both wheels, so I have placed rubberized undercoating on the rocker panels and rear fender extension. I also
have these sweet leather bras for my mirrors to protect the paint there.
That leaves the front trunk/bumper/valence and the leading edge of the rear flares vulnerable to rock chips... and believe me gravel on the road is a huge oncern here. (most of us up here get our winshields replaced anually as during winter the road crews put down 100s of tons of gravel, NOT sand, on our wintery roads.)
I am conteplating placing the clear adhesive rockguard in these places but have not seen what happens to them when they age: do they yellow or become opaque? Easy enough to remove every 5 years and reapply? If anyone has firsthand experience with them I would love to hear. I am going to stay away from the classic vinyl bra in the front as it's guaranteed to scratch your paint and you're hiding the beautiful flowing lines of the front end.
Pics and testimonies would be nice
Cheers

I know it is not fashionble now, but from my experience very good protection is the old fashioned bra. This is my original 1979 car and I had this type of bra ever since. I used it also in rain and snow on the way to the ski slopes. On longer drives it is always on. In the 70's those were cosidered the best protection because, unlike the snugg two-piece version. this one does not leave aridge on the hood after extensive use from rubbing there. Also it is easier to remove when it gets wet. Then you must remove it and let it dry at the end of the ride. Otherwise your paint gets seriously damaged. And you always have to make sure no tiny bits of gravel get under the skin. And above all the price is right, about $100.- used, almost new, here on Pelican. The other choice now is the "Clear Bra" , a clear foil applied to the front of your car. It is practically invisible and quite durable, I understand. But if done right it has to be applied by a specialist. And it is over $1,000.-!

And here is a good video showing the application of "Clear Bra"

And this is my car without my bra, after 33 years and 50,000 miles. All orginal paint as it came out of the show room. And the white specs are not chips but little specs of debris.
