I been using my Porsche 911

I dont have any problems with the engine or maintenance since i service it yearly and use premium gasoline from mobil (which is recommended to all porsche)

I been having problems with my cables where the shifter feels loose, one day when i took it to the tracks and when i placed my shifter knob into third gear it jerked and went back to neutral and i had to regear back to 3rd. i was shifting around 5.5k rpm is that to harsh or is it my clutch? i engage the clutch fully every time i shift and release the clutch gently,

when i put it to a gear i can move it side to side slightly. when i first got the car it felt really nice tight and firm.

this car has about 135,000mileage and i never had a problem like this.
its a 2001 porsche 911 carrera

thank you
