Need Keys for a 1978 930

Hello

Maybe asked before, but I have no keys for my 1978 Turbo 930. Yes, I lost them. Now the wheel is locked so pain in arse to move.

I see PP has only for up to 1977. I asked dealer here...he just says uhh...

I asked a lock smith but needs a blank, I think, he still does not know for sure.

Can a locksmith make one from a blank using tools? I seen a guy at Hershey who had blanks but lost his card....I am good at losing things...

Any thoughts on how to get a key for this car?

Thanks

Go to dealer with VIN and proof of ownership and order the key.

You should be able to get a key made from your VIN. One dealer said he "thinks" he can get one made, but would cost about $140. You need to ask several dealers. I found a locksmith who said he could make me one if I had my VIN and valid registration (I think the cost was about $40), although I ended up not needing him to do this. Do a search on key, as there were a couple of threads on this.

You need to find a good, reputable locksmith. I bought the key blanks from our host, a lighted key, red valet key and black key.

That guy at Hershey should be Tony Euganeo, he is your guy for Porsche keys.
I hope he can help you
