For years I was absolutely certain my window motor was on the way out. Darned thing never died, though. Would go faster with a fresh charge and slower if it had been sitting.

After ignoring about eight thousand posts about lubing the gearing, I had the door panel off and put a little fancy teflon lube on the gears and in the tracks. Not much at all. Problem fixed.

Search for for the right type of lube and you will be amazed. I would think most anything would be sufficient but you know there is the "correct" stuff mentioned somewhere.

The ground is in the trunk. There is about 5 wires in the main harness that have a large eye and grounded to a stud that is welded to the body. There are two of these ground points; 1 on the passenger side and 1 on the driver side.

The previous poster is more likely correct as the passenger side motor wears out much more often than the driver side and this is from "Lack of use". The grease dries up on the passenger side faster because the driver side gets used all the time.

One side at a time. You may need to look at the other to get the first back together correctly. :-)

Mark your wire colors and terminal numbers on the window switches before pulling them off.

Take your time. You will need a allen wrench. I think 5 or 5.5mm.
